Apple Words and Phrases Corpus Release 1.3 Center for Spoken Language Understanding UPDATED: 23 August 2002 This document describes the file naming conventions used for this distribution and gives a brief description of the various file formats used. File Naming Convention ---------------------- File naming follows the following convention for analog files: 210m30.wav The first field ("210") is a prefix representing a unique ID number for the speaker. The second field ("30") indicates the utterance number for that speaker. File naming follows the following convention for digital files: A1-1230.p15.wav The first field ("1230") is a prefix representing a unique ID number for the speaker. The second field ("p15") indicates the utterance number for that speaker. Note that some of the digital files have more descriptive file names (such as "A1-1230.callnum22.wav"). File Formats ------------ The .wav file format used is the RIFF standard file format. This file format is 16-bit linearly encoded.
