Using the External Hard Drive

2005 NIST/USF Evaluation Resources for the VACE Program - Broadcast News (LDC2012V01) is distributed on an external hard drive. This guide contains instructions for attaching and utilizing the drive.

In the box you will find the following:

Hard Drive enclosure with drive already inside
USB Cable
Power Cable
Hard Drive Stand

Plug the power cable and USB cable into the back of the enclosure
Plug the power cable into a power outlet and the USB cable into your computer
Switch the drive on with the switch on the back of the enclosure

At this point a dialog box will appear asking you if you want to open the drive or it will merely be accessible from "My Computer" on Windows or equivalent on other operating systems. Feel free to contact LDC at ldc@ldc.upenn.edu with any questions.
