Directory Structure:

  hub5e_98/speech  :: directory containing speech for 40 English conversations
                      (.sph), and one index file (98_hub5e.pem).

  hub5e_98/transcr :: directory containing transcripts for 40 English
                      conversations (.txt).

  hub5e_98/doc     :: directory containing the final 1998 Hub-5 English
                      evaluation plan, both in html and postscript form.

  hub5e_98/readme.txt :: This file.


Each waveform is a sphere headered, two channel interleaved mulaw
file, and has been "shorten" compressed

Each line in the PEM index file, contains information regarding one
speech segment to be processed.

  PEM index file format:

      <waveform_id> <channel> <speaker> <beg_time> <end_time>
