The reason that we have this set of codes is that some subjects did not follow our instructions exactly thus a set of calls that weren't called for in the experimental design was created. The codes are to help people who use this data to discriminate these calls quickly. What they want to include in their analysis is up to them. For what was included in the distribution and in our analysis, see what_was_included.txt. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Code Meaning 1 no obvious error found 20 an extra itinerary. For whatever reason, the subject planned more itineraries than were required 24 a retry of an unsuccessful previous call where the subject did a hypothetical scenario out-of-order (coded as 25); applied only to long subjects where they have a predetermined call order 25 a call for an out-of-order hypothetical scenario where the subject later repeats it; applied only to long subjects where they have a predetermined call order 26 a call that was repeated for an out-of-order call (coded as 25) when the subject realized the subject had done the scenario in the wrong order 27 a retry of a previous unsuccessful call (coded as 28) that was not necessarily the immediately preceding call 28 a call that is unsuccessful where the subject will repeat it 29 a call for an out-of-order hypothetical scenario (similar to 25) but where the subject did not repeat it 40 a call where the subject indicated that the system was alive but no call notification was received 65 a call where the subject indicated the subject planned a hypothetical trip instead of the required real trip 85 a call where the subject had to hang up in the middle of a call due to an interruption on the subject's end -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
