CoNLL 2015-2016 Shared Task in Shallow Discourse Parsing in English and Chinese ======================================== Shallow discourse parsing is the task of parsing a piece of text into a set of discourse relations between two adjacent or non-adjacent discourse units. We call this task shallow discourse parsing because the relations in a text are not connected to one another to form a connected structure in the form of a tree or graph. The corpus consists of the tokenized, tagged, and parsed tags both in English and Chinese. English WSJ data (train, dev, test) are from the Penn Discourse Treebank English blind test data are from wikinews. Chinese news data (train, dev, test) are from the Chinese Discourse Treebank. Chinese blind test data are from wikinews. The format of the dataset is both raw text files and json files.
