This CD-ROM contains a corpus of digitized speech and associated relational
database developed for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)
Spoken Language Systems (SLS) program.  The disc was prepared under 
sponsorship from the DARPA Information Science and Technology Office (ISTO) 
and was produced by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

The following files and subdirectories are located in the top level directory
of this CD-ROM:

        atis0: Directory containing the Air Travel Information System pilot
               corpus of spontaneous speech collected in a "wizard" experiment,
               the relational database used as the source of travel information 
               in the experiment, the data files and information used to 
               conduct the June 1990 DARPA ATIS benchmark test, and some
               utilities and online documentation.  The file "atis0/readme.doc"
               may be consulted for further information.
