This release contains the LDC Arabic lexicon (encoded in ISO-8859-6),
along with the verbal synthesizer/analyzer and some related tools.  It
is organized as follows:

 ar_lex.doc		main documentation file describing the lexicon

 ar_lex.v07		The LDC CallHome Egyptian Arabic Lexicon

 ar_lex.hdr		"header" file that specifies lexicon field contents

 scr2rom.tbl		table of Arabic script/romanization 
			correspondences

 transduc/		directory where the verbal
			synthesizer/analyzer (transducer) can be found

 tools/			directory that contains a package for viewing
			and editing ISO 8859-6 Arabic text using the
			MULE (Multilingual Emacs) text editor (useful for
			viewing the Arabic script field in the lexicon).
