This is the CD-ROM release of the USC Marketplace Broadcast News Corpus
published by the Linguistic Data Consortium.  This release contains
approximately 40 hours of audio data.  The data was recorded between May 1
1996 and September 18 1996.  Corresponding transcript files were created by
Federal Document Clearing House and enhanced by the LDC.  Transcript files
for USC Marketplace Broadcast News Corpus are available upon request via
