This is the FTP release of the USC Marketplace Broadcast News Corpus
published by the Linguistic Data Consortium.  This FTP release contains
transcripts which complement the approximately 40 hours of audio data in
the CD-ROM release.  The audio data was recorded between May 1 1996 and
September 18 1996.  The transcript files were created by Federal Document
Clearing House and enhanced by the LDC.  The CD-ROM release is available
upon request from the LDC.  For more information about this publication and
